I know you get a fair bit of good humoured comment on the scale dimensions of some models you produce but is there a particular criteria that you use when you do this? Is it to avoid problems with clearances on the tighter than scale curves or something else?
I have a range of LGB of US, Swiss and German prototypes so I'm happy with it and as long as it looks right I perversely enjoy working out just what has been squeezed. I appreciate HJ's position as it can sometimes make things look a bit odd when you put one of your models next to say a Swiss KISS or USA trains model.
Interested to know what the official line is.

The official line is that all LGB models are compatible with each other "size wise". In other words we attempt to keep all of our products porportioned so that they will all "play well" together..

Now that we got the cars , when do we get the matching F40?

Ideally the Genesis should be matched to Superliner cars, so get on them about that Jack![;)][:D]

The Genesis locos routinely pull Amfleet cars throughout the northeast where tunnel restrictions don't allow the Superliners. There was talk of replacing them with the newer "Horizon" cars, but I don't know if that ever happened. Amtrak's Empire Service which runs through upstate NY to Niagara Falls still uses the Amfleets.



I like the interiors, Jack. They should be impressive cars, both inside and out.

I'm just kicking myself, I now realize I should have picked up that Great Trains F40 and 3 superliner set I saw at the last GATS I was at when I had the chance, went by that table 4 times considering it, only $300 for the set, now that the GATS are gone, I doubt I'll ever get a second chance at them.

Do you know if the interiors will have color to them ? Such as colored seats or tables, ect?
