I'd go with something like the Kadee #831 coupler. You'll want an offset coupler head, as the bottom edge of the flat car sits below the centerline of a body-mounted coupler.

On cars that short, they'll have no trouble negotiating a 4' diameter curve.

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT KADEE COUPLER DO I NEED FOR THE HARTLAND LOCOMOTIVE WORKS SHORT FLAT CAR KITS?,IN G SCALE,AND HOW TO MOUNT THEM?ALSO WILL THEY WORK ON 4'DIA.CURVE?
