Russ,
The Scale Card company has scale rulers and pocket scale cards in several scales. They advertise in Garden Railways Marketplace section. Try www.thescalecard.com

If you plan to use Kadee couplers, They makea coupler height gauge that includes a track and wheel gauge. It's not for track laying but handy for quick checks.

Russ, Gordon Watson will make you a track gauge, contact him at http://www.argyleloco.com.au/argyle.html
Re scale rules, download this pdf file & print it out full size:
http://gold.mylargescale.com/PhilCreer/scalerules.pdf
then cut out, glue to styrene strip, cover with wide clear tape.

For track gauges, you'll have to find one matched for the width of the railhead you will be using, but Llagas Creek and Sunset Valley both make them for their code 250 and code 215 rail. The Llagas Creek gauge is a three-point gauge, while the Sunset Valley is a 2-point gauge that also has on one side a gauge for proper back-to-back wheel spacing.

For scale rules, there are a few folks who make them. Ozark Miniatures has one in brass, and CTT makes one in plastic. My personal favorite is a common yardstick, as it's very easy to mark every 15mm (on the metric side) with a dark hashmark. Simple, elegant, and for the most part, given away as freebies.

Hi Russ.
Tell us where in OZ you are and I might be able to steer you to some 1:20.3 fans here.

Best wishes,

I have just recently sold my 0n3 layout (see the Nebraska & Platte - NGSLG Mch/Apl 2006) and jumped into Fn3, partly because I love the size but mainly because I love to scratchbuild things (except loco's.) I have been reading this forum for several months and am really pleased at the help you guys give to each other.
I will no doubt be calling on you all fairly regularly for guidance and help as changing scale to something so big is quite daunting and there is very little available in Australia.
Several possible questions have already been answered in reading others problems, (e.g. Water tanks and passenger car interiors)

Question - Are there any track gauges available for 1/20.3. I have made some but would prefer professionaly made. What about scale rules?[:)] Would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks - Russ
