I use 1/24 scale for my buildings which is 1/2 inch = 1 foot. So a 1/2 x 1/2 inch, would be about a 12 x 12 timber for G scale

I have seen some tunnel portals, and retailing walls that are made out of wood. Can anyone tell me the stock size(at least ballpark) of the timber used for the portals and retaining walls? Thanks.
