Bachmann Climax

Thinking of buying a new (old stock) Climax for conversion. Was there different upgraded versions like the Shay (8 screw to 6 screw truck) and if so how does one identify. Dealer has an unlettered and Pardee & Curtin version available. Have pictures been documented for this conversion? Hoping to prevent some headaches down the road. Thanks, Alan

Hi I bought a Climax some years ago I was not aware that there had been some modifications made mine is also a Pardee & Curtin and it is a lovely model how close to prototype I klnow not and don't care it is lovely in it's own right. Following on the debate in the forum I have converted it into battery and radio control we were a little tight for space but got there. Need any help just shout!
