My wife and I saw this movie today and loved it! Great story, great performance by Anthony Hopkins. And you're right, you don't have to be a "motorhead" to enjoy this movie.

Off Topic/Not Trains

Hi all you motorheads out there[;)]

Just wanted to pass along a huge recommendation for a terrific movie that opened this weekend, unfortunately its in a limited release but is very very worth seeking out if you are in any little part interesting in anything motorized or just want to see a great fun film with no crying cowboys in it[;)]

"The Worlds Fastest Indian" set in the 1960's is based on real life events and stars Sir Anthony Hopkins as Burt Munro, a chap from a small town in New Zealand who in his 60's is determined to attempt the land speed record on his modified 1920 Indian motorcycle and chronicles his journey from NZ to Hollywood to Utah to the Bonnieville Salt Flats for Speed Week.[:p]

This movie is great for several reasons. Hopkins as Munro is a real likable eccentric in the best way. The speed scenes are really great, the vintage speed record vehicles they assembled for speed week scenes are incredible, tons of vintage cars to recreate the 1960's and there’s even a few TRAINS in the scenes to keep your eyes busy. [8)]

I usually dont post OT recommendations like this unless I am HIGHLY impressed with a film. This one deserves to be seen by as many people as possible but particularly motorheads and gearheads. Heck even my wife who's not at all into cars, racing or motorcycles said it was great fun. [:0]

So I'm putting the word to the streets! Check it out if you can, you wont be disappointed.[;)]

PS I have NOTHING to do with the film...I just really really liked it.[8D]
