R/C Battery or DCC for USA J1e Hudson?
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 5:17 PM
Santa brought me one for Christmas. [:)][:)][:)]

I did a search on this and came up empty. Right now, I'm leaning toward DCC for this locomotive, but haven't ruled out the R/C Battery route either. I haven't started to build my railroad yet, and would like to use the down time (until spring) to get this part of it sorted out, if possible. I have no track, no transformer... put another way, I've got the Hudson and six pieces of rolling stock. That's it. Not an empire yet, but it's a start. [:D]

Thank you for any advice, it will be much appreciated.

Hi Bob, welcome on board. I have one of these magnificent Locos and run it on RCS with battery power. Saves all that wiring and you would have to clean the rails even with DCC. We pull 14 USA passenger cars up a 2% grade and the battery last for 3+ hours.I specialize in adding RCS to Locos so if you would like more info please contact me off line.
