Ho/N is made out of mostly styrene plastic of which there is several mfg who make kit bash available stuff (pikestuff/Evergreen, plus others)-not sure if those are the right size -if so get a Wathers Catalog/check out there web site. I'm a little rusty on how big they were compated to buildings.

The G scale buildings are made from a UV resistant plastic so they can be left outside. The O, Ho, and N scale buildings are also made of plastic. Just not UV resistant.
Look around on the forums. You will see that alot of people scratch build their structures. It's alot of fun and you save quite abit of money that way.
One other possibility is card stock. There are quite a few sites that have buildings you can download and print out on your printer. Cut them out and glue them together.

Hello to whoever reads this,
I collect Transformer toys and over the break I was in a hobby store and saw the model buildings for train sets.
What this post has to do with trains is actually about the model houses and buildings.
I am interested in using these model houses to create little cities for my Transformers and I was curious as to what the building kits are made out of. Or would it be easier to build my own out of balsa wood? Any suggestions or comments would help me out a great deal. My email address is cody.brandvik@enmu.edu
I know this doesn't have much to do with trains but I figured this would a good starting place for answers.
Thanks for you time,
Lane
