A TRUE CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!

Good morning everyone,
Today I am completely overjoyed to be able to share this story with you. Christen is my youngest daughter at age seven. Almost three weeks ago she came down with a severe case of laryngitis. Not sure on the spelling there but no matter. From this illness she could barely talk. Naomi and I would have to bend down to her just to listen to her anytime she spoke. After many phone calls and a trip to the doctor we were no further ahead. Christen had a speaking part in their Christmas Concert that she ended up having to give up. She was heart broken and so were we. Our Kids attend a Christian school so many people have been praying for her recovery. Christen loves to sing all day long so needless to say our house has been quiet the last few weeks. Last night we attended our Christmas eve. service at our church. It was strange not to hear her singing since we know this is what she loves most. The last diagnosis the doctor gave was that Christen would have to have a tube inserted down her nose and throat if she did not recover by the end of this month. The very thought had Naomi and I very concerned. A few days ago Christen whispered in my ear "Daddy, all I want for Christmas is my voice back". I was choked. I told her we were praying and believing for a healing for her. She was a real trooper, she just smiled and went on playing. It has been a tough time for us all. This morning I got up to let our dog in and headed back up stairs. I could hear one of the kids following me...it was Christen. She came running up the stairs behind me sporting a big smile. I looked at her and said "Merry Christmas sweetheart". Her reply was the best Christmas present yet..."Merry Christmas Daddy, I got my voice back!". Tears are still running down my cheeks as I sit and write this for you all. What a miracle is all I can say. I wanted to share this with all my very best friends here on the forum. In the past many of us have shared in time of need. Today we can share a miracle. Thankyou all for listening. Merry Christmas and God Bless you all. Thanks for sharing this experience with us.

As someone else wrote, we need to hear good things such as this once in a while to help forget the many negative things that have become the center of our focus lately.

I'm glad to hear that she is well hopefully still the same -I'm into both fields at work there (job is medical (RPh), belief in God). Congrats again
