2005 LGB CHRISTMAS CAR
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, December 5, 2005 4:26 PM
I know this sounds fake but is is not. I need to find a 2005 Christmas car for my son. it is a Christmas tradition started by my father to buy my son a dated christmas car each year. Well Dad died and for the last few years these cars are Adam's present from his Grandfather. It is hard to belive an 11 year old looks for this car each year above all else and takes great pride in setting them up under the tree . I have tryed in vain but have not been able to find one. I am not looking for a freebe and am willing to pay a fair price I just want to see my son find that car under the tree. IF anyone knows where I can find one please let me know.
Thanks

JD,

Are you looking for a #37078 Christmas Passenger Car, 2005? I can put some feelers out to see if there are any out there. Can't guarantee anything but I will give it the old college try.

Jack, I was going to list them, but their web site wasn't working this morning (?).

I was going to suggest evil-bay, but I just checked and didn't see any listed. [V]

Try these?

JD,
Your best bet is to keep calling around. LGB has shipped all of the product to retailers.
Check the retailer locater on the LGB website and call around. I'm sure there has to be a dealer out there who still has one.

Tacoma Trains and Hobby in Tacoma WA had six of them yesterday. Their phone # is (253) 756-7517. Price was 139 and cents. Apparently the price has risen from last year due to fluctuations $/euro. The car retails for $159 from what I could tell.

I don't know if he'll ship, he wasn't the friendliest person I've met.

Do a web search for the numbers to:

Allied Model Trains, Los Angeles Ca

Upland Trains, Upland Ca

Gold Coast Station, Ventura Ca

Morgans Big Train Emporium, Huntington Beach Ca

all are big into LGB and might have one.

Good Luck

   Have fun with your trains

FOUND IT in Tocoma

II want to warmley thank everyone for helping me find this car. It is refreshing in these times that a group such as this can come together and accomplish somthing good.
Jack, LGB was great Joe in customer service spent a lot of time with me today even found a number to LGB in Germany. Everyone should feel good that they have helped a boy to to have a happy Christmas. I'm sure there will be a smile and he'll know that his grandfather is there with him if only in his thoughts.

God Bless
Merry Christmas
Thanks again

Hey,
Haven't stopped learning and haven't stopped spending! Started out with trains as a kid, moved on to R/C planes, boats , cars. Then onto real cars, my 1940 Chev was my first at 16...a keeper. Lots after that. Trains stuck...just got bigger is all. HO scale to G. Hope I never run out of ambition..or money [;)] All the best. Later eh...Brian.

Another grandparents sad story of which I will not bore you with, but we also need a 2005 LGB Christmas car #37078. We have called all the numbers posted and to no avail. We are willing to pay a premium price if we have to as this is very important to us. Ky Train Lady
