Hey there,
My outdoor line is nicely "iced" over now so decorating will be done indoors. Plans are underway with decorating my lamp posts the way small towns here in Manitoba do. Very large bows, decorations of all kinds and of course lights. All down the main roadway in town. On my indoor line I will be doing much the same. I picked up several small bows and wreaths to hang on the street lamps. Tiny lights found at Sears with the "Christmas Villiage" type stuff may also be used. I'll take some pics when it is done. Later eh...Brian.

Well, I'll be hanging lights on the Steven's Canyon Trestle, small strings in the evergreens, lit tree in the station at Whiterock, lots of doo-dads all over the place.....

I guess he means pinata- the mexican paper mache thing that hangs from the cieling and everybody whacks at it blindfolded until it breaks and the candy falls out. That LGB mogul would hurt if it fell on the head! I doubt much would survive the fall...............................................

I have no special Christmas train plans. I'll probably take the old Lionel out of retirement and run it around the tree or something. Maybe put a jingle bell on the cat..................I know, that's got nothing to do with RR, but it's sure to be a real gasser!

This is what is lacking in this forum lately.
International forum.
Let's explain the various themes, beliefs and customs.
And keep it funny!!!!

...does anyone have any plans for interesting scenes on the layout or around the tree?

The whimsey build off was an excellent lead-up into that. I am still debating the issues of Honidy inspired scenes.
