Don't bet on it!
That looks exactly like a LGB Mikado - give or take a few axles here or there. They get that paint job half-right (that usually means at least the running number will match) and they could call it a "Mikthern".

After I've seen what they managed with good old #412, I'm ready for more "PR" BS.

Ya know, my buddy DID see some stencils, BIG ones on the ground next to it.
Looked like three of them, top one was "L", so who knows.

I'll have him look for the cutting torches tomorrow.

Please explain where you got the idea that 2100 has a big dent in the side of the boiler. There IS NOT a "big" dent in the boiler. FYI she was powered up today and ran under steam in the CEECO yard. Testing for full operation is well under way.

Yesterday they were working on removing said dent, engineer's side, forward of the cab.

If you were to actually READ before posting, you might see something lke this:

"Ya know, my buddy DID see"

He watched it being off-loaded, saw the dent, stopped by here last night to tell me they were fixing the dent, had also painted the aux car.

Steaming is one thing.
A nice, shiny whatever with a dent is more visible even from the road than an old rustbucket with a dent.
