Yes, there was an excellent cab forward conversion from the Aristo 2-8-8-2. The building Log is shown at the Aristocraft Forums, under the 'Kitbashing' forum. You might have to scroll back a couple of months. The finished item looks very close to a SP cab forward.

Not that I am aware of. I'm not familar with the in's and outs of these two beast. I would start with checking driver size and work from there. My guess is with the mallet being relatively new nobody has gotten the guts to carve one up.

Hey has anyone attempted to make a SP Cab forward with aristo mallet or anyother type of mallet loco??
