Entry #1, city ex-terminator

A long time ago…………on a war ravaged planet known as Skarro………..

A new race developed and quickly got bored of their war ravaged planet and decided to move on……………..to a sunnier place……….a happier place……….

Soon, however, their xenophobic and murderous attitudes began to wear thin on the local populous……..so an expert was called in…………

Given an experimental mosquito control vehicle by the local municipality……………

This odd fellow with a floppy hat made a few improvements……………..

Now the predator becomes the prey……………….Who’s exterminating whom?

Well, that problem is solved, now to sort out the bubble wrap monster!!!

Tech specs:
Aristo power truck
hand rolled rocket tube/ V2 nose cone from scrap box
GI Joe doll with Comet model Tom Baker Dr. Who head
Rocket and Dalek connected by wire- Dalek is pushed
Rocket works, observe char marks- technical glitch during photo shoot, will post later once I get new motor ignitors
Rocket motor just makes smoke- does not propel vehicle
Vents behind passanger compartment smoke very nicely at the end of the rocket cycle- OH YEAH!!

Entry #2

Nov. 12, 2005 Avalanche Creek, Montana

For a few weeks now I have been privy to the Avalanche Railraod Company's Latest project. The company claims that it is making a huge contribution to the safety of the citizens of Avalanche Creek. While I have watched the backsop build this latest creation, I must say I really wasn't sure what it was, until last weeks meeting of the Avalanche Creek Volunteer Fire Department. As they showed up at the railroad shops.

One could tell there was some sense of electricity in the air. The paint shop doors where opened up and the newest creation was pushed out onto the service track for inspection.

During the inspection the fire crew tried the new firetruck on for size. As the meeting progressed the shop crew installed the windows and otehr accessories. It seems when the shop crew tested the the siren it caused quite a ruckus with the fire crew they all started yelling. Then they piled into the speeder and where heard yelling something about needing more fire water as they headed toward downtown Avalanche Creek.

The railroad reported to me the next morning that there was no damage to the new speeder from the fire crew's expedition. With the firetruck fully operational the citizens of Avalanche Creek got to see first hand the latest creation of the railroad company's shops.

Soon after the unvieling the fire crew loaded up and took off, yelling something about more fire water.

I could have done with your firemen just now in the garden.Lots of sparks and a burnt finger.
Well I'm sorry to say that you have both beaten me.My effort did not make it around the whole garden.(hence the burnt finger.)

Ben,

It's made from hardboard, masonite what ever you want to call the stuff [:D]

Take a look at my web site Click Here And look on the locomotives page, then click the Firetruck speeder picture. That gives a story of "the making of the speeder" .

This is what I started with but couldnt find a drive in time, I'll still work on it.

There will be a chair on the ourunner with the drive under the chair and a rather large track inspector in the chair and a rather thin employee shuttling him around, think Laurel and Hardy or Keaton and Arbuckle. Maybe by the BTS I'll have something!

You betcha! I spent the day with out of state relatives [xx(] so no railroading today! I'll update the post tomorrow afternoon, full rocket on! It's pretty awesome, you can see what it did to the back of the rocket car. I think I can maybe do this two or three more times before the vehicle is unusable.

BTW, if you don't vote for me, you will all be EX-TER-MIN-A-TED![}:)]

Cool car Troy! A few improvements and you can add it to your stable. Very well done.

Jack, with the Doctor and the Daleks going at it again (not to mention the rocket fires!) we could sure use that fire truck! Very nice! Well done!

Hey guys! FANTASTIC effort on everyones part! I gotta' hand it to ya'. Everyone had something unique and different all right. From firespeeders to flamin' G.I. Joes this was awesome. Maybe we could do this once a year??? That way us slower guys can have some time to do the build. How about it...an annual build off? [tup][tup] Later eh...Brian.
