FYI You can shop Sam' s on line if you are a member. Could be handy if you are miles from a store or your store doen not carry what you want.

Brian, you could always by amembership online and shop there[;)] and be ready to go when it opens next year.
Matt,
Every year I check at Cosco to see if Large Scale will find its way in there...so far nothing. Can't wait to see what Sams will have. Later eh...Brian.

Matt,
I was doing my city deliveries the other day and was informed by a staff member that Sams is being built here in the city! Maybe they will have it ready to go for next Christmas! We can only hope. Later eh...Brian.

Walt:

Also pay attention to the in-store flyers at Wal~Mart, three times a year there are "single use Sam's Club Passes."

Walt, I believe it was $37.00ish. Which pays for it's self every year for me and the five women I live with, probably in toilet paper alone!

When you walk through the door the greeter will ask to see your card, tell them you would like to walk around, then walk to the customer service desk and ask them if you could shop there once before you decide to join[:-^][swg].

My guess is they would say yes! As to not ward off a potentail member, look around you may find enough regular items you use to redeem reason to be a member.

Matt,

What's it cost to join Sam's Club for a year? Can you make a purchase (such as the Annie set) without being a member?

Hey Matt,
The price is right for sure. We don't have any Sams here in Winnipeg. Wish we did...that would make supplies for bashing much less expensive. Later eh....Brian.

The Sam's club Bachmann 4-6-0 Anniversery set is back! Price is $ 136.00 comes with the bachmann BS track and two passenger cars and caboose.

Guess who just added a new loco to their roster[:D].

The track will give me my first running layout which will be great to test my Annie/Mogul bashes new crossheads and side rods that I scratch built/ bash.
