I bought two when they came out. Later removed the rubber tires. I now have one that I made as a dumby unit which runs in a coal train lash up.

Is it REAL? or Just 1:29 scale?

It's isn't any good........it's great! Wonderful engine, do not hesitate to buy it. It does need a 4ft radius, but can be made to run on 3ft if need be. It should give you many years of faithful service. Good luck!

YES, I bought 3 other USA trains engines after buying one of them.
It needs minimum 4 foot radius but it looks great and pulls loads. I did find that I needed to raise the front plow up a bit as it is very low to the rail and sometimes flew off at a dip when it caught the rail. You have an optional section in the plow to allow more swing on the coupler.
