I see this news has popped in an older thread, but it certainly deserves its own thread. Rocky Chiusano, owner of Mainline Enterprises, passed away during the night. His web site has a small mention of this (bottom of the page) and address for sending flowers, etc. www.gardenrailwayproducts.com

We know nothing else right now.

Well, it is hard to lose someone, especially on one's first day of what I hope will become a fun and useful forum. Being somewhat new to the hobby of Garden size trains, but not new to the model RR hobby, I need all the help I can get! So, the loss will be felt not only by those who knew this man, but also by us "newbies" who could have tapped his wisdom. I'm hoping that those of you who knew him will pass on some of his words to us. Thanx and heartfelt sympathy for his family, Lordhawke (real name Jeff)

Sad news day. His loss will be felt more acutely as time goes on. Truly was one of the giants in the industry today.[:(]

This came as a big shock to me as I had just recieved a shipment from Rocky on Weds. and have spent the last two days installing another 100' of his roadbed on my latest expansion phase.

Part of the fun of ordering from him was it always seemed to be a 2 hour process as we always got off on some topic about building the layouts. I still owe him for the help I got last time in selecting the right nail gun for building trestles and bridges.

He will be sorely missed on our railroad.

Great to see all the kind words for Rocky. We pray all the best to his family and friends. For those of you who did get the chance to know him your stories can be passed on for years to come. Rocky was a great guy. He helped me alot and provided valuable information, not to mention an awesome product. He will be missed by all.
My sincere condolences to his family and Gods Blessings.
Will his son continue the business?

Rocky will be sadly missed by me...

I was probably one of the last people to discuss products with him...

I recently (May,05) purchased a turntable from Rocky... He discussed the construction techniques, time element, and "products" he used in the making of the products...

It is now one month since the announcement... The phone is on answer only and the e-mail you send echos the web site information! I already know all this information, but:

I would like to discuss the turntable issues with ANYONE that is fulfilling the roadbed orders that the website confirms is in process...

Is his son taking over the business, or is someone else (his wife) running things?

Numerous e-mails AND 800 phone calls have produced no responses as of now...

I am curious if others have ordered items BEFORE Rockys passing and have heard from the family or whoever are running things there...

In respect, all I really want is any communication from ANYBODY regarding outstanding TURNTABLE orders...
