Diesel locomotive cab control layout

Another ex contractor on SSN637s from about 1967 to 1985. Was on all 48 that were built but that's not why I logged in.

Does anybody know where I can find photos, drawings or whatever of a typical locomotive cab layout? Something that shows "dashboard"
Here at the NevadaStateRailroadMuseum, we plan on building a cab simulator utilizing the control components that have been prototyped by RailDriver. And the simulation software from Trainz and/or Microsoft. There is no intention of making a scale or completely accurate reproduction of any particular locomotive, probably something representative. It's intended use is to familiarize children with the operations but I imagine the Dads will be all over it as well.
Some of the best cab layouts are actually part of the mentioned simulation software. I have looked in many books on locomotives and searched both GM and GE websites without success so far.
