I Am in Aurora IL for the week for work.
Unfortunatly i will be leaving on friday just before the Chcago shows start.
Anyone around though that would like to tell me where a good LHS is. I am right down near the casino in DT Aurora at the comfort suites.
on the way here from the airport, i was shocked when i saw "Hobby Lobby" I thought it was a giant hobby store, until i got to the door and saw all the outdoor furnature. i didnt even go in. That name is very misleading.
anyone near me that can show me a good store? or other good stuff?
Kevin

Did you get lost?
Yea, Hobby Lobby is art and ladie's hobbies, though I find lots of things there. There are some train shops around there, like St. Charles or Woodstock. Gardentrack is clear across the state[:(]
Oh, there's the ACE hardware in Aurora.

Ben-
I have been pretty busy lately. today too actuall, just trying to take a minute or two here and there to play
The whole garden layout has been put on hold once again. as it looks that the site planned for the layout will one day be a very poor place for it. so we did some other projects. But I plan on starting in September. I want to put up a retaining wall at the base of the bank in the back yard. and i will coordinate a raised garden bed in that wall when i do. then all i will need to do is lay track.
the retaining wall will only be 12" tall, just something to keep the wood chips from sliding into the grass and to keep them out of the mower blades when i cut the grass.

Thats a pretty cool ACE.
more than just a HDW store.
I didnt pick up anything for G scale though as they were just a bit too large for my carry on bag. plus i didnt have the $$ anyhow, oh and i dont have 8' dia turns gonna be stuck with 5'
I did pick up some foam roadbed for my HO plans though. not too bad.
thanks
Any other true Hobby stores around the area?
Kevin
