I built my own to carry a Bachmann Spectrum 1:20.3 Consolidation using a 3-foot length of Aristo track, 1" pine board, and a door handle. A stub siding allows the carrier to be connected to the layout so the locomotive can run out of or into it.
I am running battery power and radio control using the AirWire900, but this would work with track power, too.
A coupler mounted in one end helps hold the locomotive in place during transport.

I am looking for something that will carry my loco/cars and help me load it on the track. I have seen the "EZ Loader" brand ramp device that helps load onto the track but I've also seen one that serviced as a carrier too. Anyone know who makes them, or know of plans on how to build one? Thx,
