Another long lingering project cleared off the workbench!

The Silver Streak! a new passenger railbus for my tiny railroad[:D]

Its built from a 2nd-hand LGB tender drive unit and an LGB Toytrain passanger car. The pilot and headlight are from an AMC General kit. The radiator is from an MDC Hustler. I bashed the driver seat area and controls and used wood/plastic scraps to modify the chassis so the two cars could be mated. Its all comes apart, sort of, for maintanence of the drive unit. Its still shiny, no hurry to weather it till I can add decals to it. Hopefully standard LGB figures will eventually occpy some seats, but if they dont fit, i can always try making them![:D]

Yeah Troy,

Its a bit bright isnt it, its that Testor Chrome Silver paint, it goes on better than almost any other paint I've used but it is shiny as heck. It tones down quite a bit after a matte coat is applied thought, and looks like the RGS Goose silver paint jobs. I havent hit it with the Matte yet, I want to add some decal but I have to get Stan the decal man over on MLS to make me up a batch! So its keep the sunglasses handy till then...[8D]

*edit* I posted this over at MLS might as well here too, its the inspiration from Gerald Best's book "Mexican Narrow Gauge" and is also shown at the cool website "Narrow Gauge From Off The Beaten Path" http://narrowmind.railfan.net

I think the original is way cooler, but the spirit is there[:D]

I like it, but it needs weathering.

That is awesome! I didn't know you scratchbuilt in G scale. I've seen you on the MR forums, but wasn't prepared to come here and see this!

Maybe I should make a passenger version of the Pack Mule to compete?[;)]
