I had a stroke in Feb. and came through it pretty good. There was a couple of weeks in the hospital thats a blank but I came through it pretty well. It was scary at the time and as I was just starting in GRR and wondering if I would be able to use them. I wish you a speedy recovery and an enjoyable future.

This just got posted over on MLS, looks like good news for Steve:
I just got off the phone with Kathy Quaranto, Steve's Wife. She had been at the Hospital all weekend. She said that Steve had a TIA which is a mild stroke on the same side as he has had one before But the long term prognosis is good and that Steve should make a full recovery to how he was before the stoke with rehabilitation, but it will take awhile to do so. Kathy also said that Steve should be moving to the rehabilitation center tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest. I talked with her about visting Steve and she thought that would be a good idea once he got settled in the rehab. center. As I look at my calander, Friday would be a good day to go and vist I plan on printing out this thread and the one in the Aristo forum and taking them with in a big get well card and maybe a G scale train item In a nut shell to sum it up, Steve did have a stroke, but should be able to make a full recovery in time Kathy wanted me to thank all of you who have kept Steve in your prayers and sent posts with your concern and best wishes for Steve to get well and to recover from this illness. I'm sure with time, we will all hear from Steve again here on the forums [:) Thanks, Rocky

This was posted over on the MLS Forum...good news re 'train-me' (Steve Q's ) health. It was posted by a LS friend of his & an MLS regular, Rocky.
"Ok, Deb and I just got back from visting Steve Q. in the Rehab. Hospital. Steve is doing much better from what Kathy had told me on the phone When we got there, Steve was in a wheelchair almost like his fiesty self givin' the nurses heck. After he was done with the nurses getting vital signs on him, he was back in bed and we had a nice vist with him We gave him the cards we got for him and read him some of the replies from the previous thead I started that had all of your replies with prayers and best wishes for him to get well He wanted me to thank all of you for your concern and best wishes for his recovery He said that it's been an uphill fight, but he was doing better. He is working to get a laptop in for him to read the forums, but he said it would be a week or so until he does so. It appears that Steve is in a good place and is receiving the best of care "
