We'll get them, fear not. The backlash we have to be wary about is our local nazi party, the 'british nationalist party'. They will play this for everything they can get out of it, whipping up anti asian feelings amongst the dumber brits. We are all the same, white, black, brown, whatever shade. We all have our families and friends and no matter where you are on this spaceship we all have to do the same things for those people we love. It's called life and it will not be changed by a few militant tossers who are to cowardly to fight out in the open against armed forces. The countries that we represent on this forum are the ones that always see it through to the end.
Cheers,
Kim

My heart goes out to all of you in the U.K. I'm am also amazed by the Brits in their ability not to miss stride as we did during 911 with continueing on everyday life.

Unfortunately the terrorist have't heard -Red White and Blue THESE COLORS DON'T RUN! Either flag.

Thanks Jack,
Unfortunately these people regard compassion as weakness.
With our wonderfully lax border controls, the enemy is within.
The unfortunate thing is that the the law abiding muslim community in our country now has to worry about the extreme right wing fractions.
The government was warned about it's stupid immigration policy.
Innocents always have to pay for political ineptitude.

No prob, Troy! Please accept the free gift of a few dozen 15,000 lb "daisy-cutters", they may not be exactly new, but they are still most effective! We'll even throw in a few C-5A Galaxies to deliver them.

The battlefield is no place for political corectness. I remember one mission near Mazir-al-sharif when we hit a Taliban military facility and staging area with a brigade of artillery (including MLRS, aka "grid smashers"), 2 or 3 Super Spook guships and then pasted the area with several B-52's carrying old fashioned dumb iron bombs. The battle damage assesment revealed "some evidence of underground plumbing remaining". Problem sorted, indexed and filed. [xx(]

Could we ignore political correctness for a few days.Keep reporters away from the front line.If we could borrow some of your new really nice bombs.
I think we could sort the problem out once and for all [:)]

(obviously we might not be able to give the bombs back in the condition they were recieved.)

I agree with Walt, this time, for once, politics on this forum may be acceptable to express our outrage and horror that a small group of sick minds would use such tactics to promote their brand of hatred and ignorance.

I spent time in the Middle East, in '91 and '04, and yes, an overwhelming majority of Arabs only want peaceful coexistence with the rest of the world. Sadly, there is a small minority that does not, and the tactics they use are far to horrific to discuss here, London and 9-11 being only the tip of the iceberg.

Bottom line is that our entire democratic way of life is threatened by this scum; we must all stand together, be tough and inflexible in dealing with terrorists, or accept defeat through our own apathy.

We are standing by to assist you, UK, in any way we can. Just ask.

Capt,

One can’t write a note expressing sorrow and sympathy for what happened in London without also venting frustration about what and who is responsible.

It’s inevitable that the comments on this thread are going to be political. We’re all outraged by this attack on innocent civilians by a small group of radicals who seek to avenge a perceived humiliation by resorting to terrorism. My point is that their views and methods don’t necessarily reflect the view of most of the Muslim world.

Hi all
What more needs to be said
The bombers won't win.
And they will not win as long as they use the wrong negotiating tool
it is up to all of us to make that true.

I think it’s important to remember that these heinous crimes, as well as the 9/11 attacks and the Madrid bombings, were committed by a very small group of political and religious zealots. I believe that the vast majority of Arabs want peace and stability as much as we do.

I fear we are getting too political in here, may I suggest a political forum...

So that we might not pollute our Hobby with words we might later regret and be in a better more appropriate forum for venting our frustrations.

Another attack against innocent citizens committed by twisted minds in the name of God. My thoughts and prayers go out to the British people.

Thanks for your thoughts everyone.

I was in the US during 9/11 and still remember the shock of of it all.
I spent nearly 35 years in the Emergency Services. I ceased to be surprised what one person could inflict upon another, only appalled.

My thoughts are with all of those in the UK that were affected by this outrage. Take care...be vigilant..Sorry to hear they shut down mobile capability..I remember the frustration I felt when it took me 3 days to contact beloved friends in NYC after 9/11 because of interruptions and clogging of the communications systems..

This should only harden the British resolve. The Spaniards are most likely regretting giving in to the terrorists. As Churchhill said,Never, never, never give up.

I was going to post a similar message, but the Capt. beat me to it! I'm sorry this had to happen. It sure harkens memories of 9-11 here, not so long ago. Hugs to those of you in England.

Thanks for your thoughts.

The simple fact that Great Britian survived The Spanish Armada, Napolean, Dunkirk, the Blitz and then proved to be victorious in World War II demonstrates only the tip of the British Resolve.

Please stand fast, to give into terrorism is to embolden them. Once we let them think that they are suceeding...there will be more carnage. I think that is the lesson they learned in Spain.

All should learn from history that when you back a Brit into a corner, he comes out swinging- the French forgot the lesson as did the Germans. These Islamic militant knuckleheads fail to realize that killing civilians NEVER promotes whatever "cause" they preach.

We are with you, Londoners, 100%. We pray for peace, but failing that we have plenty of bombers you can borrow.

I have to admit I was surprised at this attack, as vigilant as the Brits usually are for this kind of thing, but with such a diverse population and a more porrous border after EU unification, its not hard to see how this might happen, worries me about this country too, who else might be out there. One things for sure, they will leave no stone unturned to root out the supporters, bad day to be Moslem in Britain.

Here is the thing...this act wasn't done by Nazi Bombers in a Blitz or by H.G. Well's Martians in their tripods. I will not preach hatered toward our Islamic brothers...but there is going to have to be some self-policing among those communities.

The acts of Terror have the effect of generalizing all Islamic citizens...we must proceed with caution. If we fail, not only might we die in some needless attack, but we can revert into barbarism.

Let us pray for peace and civility!

Thanks for your thoughts Joe. London has had more than its fair share of bombs over the years, other cities have had theirs as well. I'm going to Manchester tomorrow and the city centre there had to be rebuilt a few years ago.
What the perpetrators never realise, whatever their nationality, is that our resolve hardens every time and we pay back a thousand times. Now will not be a good time to be an insurgent in Iraq.
Cheers,
Kim
