Enjoy your weekend Steve and your new SD45, I've only got those in 'n'. I'm off drinking beer now, it's live music in the pub tonight and you have to have a few to put up with the guy who's singing...........did I say singing?
Cheers,
Kim

Just remember what Memorial Day is all about......and thank them folks forever young that prevented you from having German or Japanese as your primary language.

Dave,
What's home port for the 669? I am down at Kings Bay and understand we may see some of you fast attack guys soon.

WAS Charleytown.
Cut the pennant down in 95.
I was communicating with the Navy at one point, told them with all their new-fangled stuff, 10 years from now they'd be looking for....637 class fast-attacks.
Guess what?
I mean, to replace them with a non-crew-friendly 688 (a maze to get through....like "gee, where to we put berthing?") over a habitability-designed boat that were ALL under-ice capable, and all had 10 years anyway on the hulls left, but no, they do the 688's that can't do under ice....and have to come up with the 688i to do it....
Odd.
Don't give up on Groton yet.
Politics have now become involved.
Word is maybe the 8 in Norfolks will join the 18 in NLON and make Norfolk surface only.
Maybe.
Cannot believe the full support facilities and schooling at NLON, plus EB down the river, and they want to pull the plug......
I was lead SINS Tech (back when ET's were really ET's), on Sperry MK3 MOD6.
Never thought I'd see a binnacle for a SINS again.....until I saw inside an Ohio class a while back, and there were two of them!
Had an offer on the spot to stay on board and go on deployment to help sort out some problems.....had I brought my toothbrush, might have.
Knew the CO since he was 10 years old.
