Newly arrived in Shade Valley, Tuscarora Timber Company's #4 gets used to her new surroundings where she'll serve the various logging sites along the Tuscarora Railroad. Though she wears #4, the next in the series of locomotives on the Tuscarora Railroad, this locomotive is--on paper--owned by the timber company subsidiary of the railroad. Most believe that #4 will become a regular on the TRR as well, not just on the logging feeder lines it serves.

This is the latest project off my workbench, again jumping ahead of myriad stalled projects from the past year or so. For the most part, it's a simple repaint of a Bachmann Heisler, with a few little details changed. "Simple," however, isn't exactly the most accurate term. Well perhaps for the painting part, but certainly not the disassembly. That loco doesn't come apart without a fight and broken bits and pieces.
