Most of those cell phones with built-in cameras that I have seen take a pretty low resolution photograph that will be very grainy and blurry if you try to enlarge it.

Hey, let me know how that works for you. I'm curious about how that works. Technology lately--you just can't keep up with it!

Train-me,

I have found that grainy or out of focus photos are mostly the result of the user not knowing their camera. As far as the resolution for general photos 96 DPI is what the average monitor is displaying. A friend of mine got some very good photos of his grand daughtor with his phone. The avarage printer now prints at a higher resolution than the average monitor. For showing on this forum it should be more tham enough.

I subscribe to what I call the National Geographic method - I do not know if it is true but I once heard that their photographers may take as many as 2,000 photos for an article and we only see the best 10 or 12. If you have ever looked at my webshots photosand thought some of them are pretty bad or that there are a lot of them you should see all the ones that never make it there.
Thank you, Jaime

Hi all,

Interested in Camera-Phones? Check the http://www.eurotechnology.com/camera-phone/general.html link!

The good ones have 2Meg capability (and getting better), but I doubt that they're on the freebie list. Usually they flog the oldest, already superseeded technology for those occasions.

Steve,

If I'd still be checking spelling, I'd have a lot more gray hair than is the case right now. [:)][}:)][:D]
Or I'd have no hair left.[;)][:)] But since I'm a hairy creature little chance of that.
BTW I'm in the process of reading "Playing with trains" by Sam Posey, who has some interesting observations about model railroaders and hair.[;)][:)][:D]

On that camera; don't expect to get the 2Meg kind and when you take pictures make sure you have plenty of light, especially on your indoors set-up. Otherwise you may be pulling your hair out.[:0][:0]

A 2M pixel cell phone camera? I would certainly read all of the microscopic-sized legalese in my cell phone contract before sending one of these photos. I don't own a cell phone, but have heard from others that Sprint and T-Mobile networks both charge extra, by the Kb, for uploading pictures, so you could expect to receive a really hefty phone bill if you used this camera.
