i was wondering if more people new what kind of amp's there RR is running at ?
or a piece of there string.

USA trains F units, AB, 2% grade, 6 USA freight cars plus lighted caboose, 3.7 amps on DCC 20v on the track. If you are going to MU be prepared for 10 amp boosters or higher (serious mu, like 5 or more locos)

What's the purpose of the question? Maybe let us know what your goal in a consist is?

i run 2 rr thru my aristo older 10 amp transfomer and 2 te 1 for each set of tracks, 1 aba and a sound car 19 freignt cars and ab and 16 freight cars. i have never seen it over 5 1/2 amps. running 2 trains!
