BREAKHEART PASS - Train related

Gee you can't trust anyone these days; i did read about it in a scince fiction novel one day when I had nothing better to do on holidays in Vanuatu.

I understand the movie bit but i think thi part of the subject is much more interesting.
When my kids were younger we used to talk a lot about combining movies and see what would result. What about combining "Breakheart Pass" with "Casablanca"?

Could you imagine Charles Bronson saying "heres looking at you kid."

According to the Google search engine, Heartbreak Pass in somewhere in California.

Another great train movie, (perhaps the greatest of all) was filmed in the Pacific Northwest. "The Emporer of the North"
This movie was filmed at the Cottage Grove, Oregon railroad yard and enginehouse, as well as on Row River Road. This was on the now-abandoned Oregon Pacific & Eastern Railway.

Sounds a straight forward job to create the train the coach, box car, caboose and loco at any rate.
The troop sleepers would need the reisdent drafting genius to do a drawing so the things could be easaly built.
But it would make an interesting change from the more normal type of train and in a reasonable length that most people who wanted to build it could run it.

A movie site says Nez Perce County Idaho, which is where the Camis Prairie is located.

I have just watched a film I had not seen in ages. Breakheart Pass. A film starring Charles Bronson. By a favorite author of mine Alistair Maclean.
Originally it was viewed as a western, an interest of mine. Now I see it in a new light.
That train weaving through the snow covered mountains. That old 2-8-0. That tressle bridge.
Anybody know where it was filmed. It is enough to get me into replicating the train itself. Not crashing it of course.
