Walt this is the complicated one

This is the simplified one and looks like it is only offered in this road name.

These pictures are on bachman's Web site.

Hi Matt,

I didn't know that the Annie came with two different types of valve gear. You're right; I'm not modeling any particular prototype, just making a generic Mogul from a ten wheeler. So I'd be interested in the version of the Annie with the simplest valve gear, can you tell me which one that would be?

Walt, I can't say what I've done so far was hard however there has been far more time spent fitting and measuring then actually building. Also remember i'm trying to match a particular prototype. Something that was pointed out to me on MLS was that the "annie's" come with 2 different types of Valve gears so look at both. Let me know if i can be of help.

Hey there,
Nice work indeed. Amazing what can be accomplished from a bash. Keeps the hobby interesting for sure. Later eh...Brian.

Hi Fletch,

Thanks for the feedback. You're right, Bob Baxter's website is great, that's just the kind of information I needed.

Check out Bob Baxter's web site. He has bashed several Bachmann 4-6-0s into neat 2-6-0, including his latest, the Annie 4-6-0 conversion:

This is Bob's site:

http://4largescale.com/baxter/

which is part of a larger model builder's web site:
http://4largescale.com

His Annie conversion is under 'engines', here:

http://4largescale.com/baxter/35.htm

Check out the other 4-6-0 conversions there under 'engines', and some of this other bashes.

Bob is probably the most inspirational, and resourceful kitbasher that I ever met!

Fletch.

Has anyone tried bashing B'mann's Annie 4-6-0 into a Mogul 2-6-0? If so, I,m curious how much trouble it was to modify the main rods and valve gear. I know that Matt is building a Mogul from an Annie but his project involves a whole new drive train, that's not what I'm interested in doing .
