Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 10:20 AM
Hi All, can anyone please explain why USA trains Intermodal containers are too wide? They are perfect models in every other respect. Cheers for now

How much too wide are they??? I don't know....but it seems that many great models end up with something that isn't quite right.

I don't have any, but I'll hazzard a wild irresponsible guess!!! I'll bet the width was determined by the cars USA made to carry them on rather than scale L-W-H!
