For 2 track operation and troyubleshooting, I would suggest you get the xmitter/rcvr set .

I find it very painful to keep switching back and forth for operations, plus if you ever have a problem in the future, you have the resourses to figure it out with 2 transmitters and 2 receivers. (I actually have 4 pairs/sets).

I have checked several dealers in our area, and I am having trouble finding the Crest Electronics Walk around Engineer Receiver. Seems no one has any left and Crest doesnt know when they will be in stock again. Does anyone out here have any suggestions as to where I can get one? I need the receiver to control the second line I am adding. I only need the receiver. Thanks for any and all help in locating one.

thanks piercedan. I am going to do the wiring on Tuesday, my next day off, and my birthday. Can't seem to bring myself to go to work on my birthday. So I have to give up one of my days off to pay a friend back. I'd rather be building and running trains.

You can just splice them together.

Or go to Radio Shack and get the R/C car battery male/female connectors and install them to allow you to plug and unplug each receiver.

These connectors are use in R/C cars for current saimiliar to the train engineer ratings.

Also, get the TE fan if you will be over 3 amps on a track.

I don't have to worry about whether or not my MRC 6200 will work anymore. I purchased the Crest Electronics 10 amp power supply the other day. It should power both of my small tracks nicely. I'll keep the 6200 for maybe around the Christmas Tree. I also ordered another track receiver to handle the second line. Question time: The power supply only has one set of wires coming off of it. How can I connect "2" receivers to it?

I use the crest 55475 and you can only use frequency 1 for these accessory receivers.

trackside receivers can use 10 tracks and 10 frequencies, but accessories are limited to 10 tracks and freequency 1.

There is a way to program the receivers to get 5 on a track, but you would have to do multiple button presses to get to one switch.

I believe in the KISS principle and just use 1 track for each 55475 and I only need to press one button to operate my LGB 5 EPL drives on my mainline.

I have another question for you all here. I have the MRC 6200 transformer. I am adding a second seperate line. Is this transformer going to be able to power both tracks or am I going to have to change power supplies for the track powers? I decided to do away with the switches. No one here seems to know how to wire them so they will work for me. I've tried everything every one has mentioned and still no luck.

What I need to know is how to wire the 5 wire USA switch to the 2 terminal crest accessory controller. I know that one wire is the common , 2 more wires are for lights on the switch, and the last 2 wires are for the direction controller for the switch. How do I wire all this so that it will work?

Ian P is correct. The Aristo-Craft 10 Channel Transmitter as many more options than Aristo-Craft advertises.

Sorry, bit late coming into this topic. I operate 5 switches from one switch receiver. If your garden isn`t too big, you run light cable from the receiver to each of your switches. It would work out a lot cheaper than one per switch.

will do, Kim, I decided to keep going on the landscaping while I wait for the new switches to come in. This gives me time to get some other things done while I wait. I am still waiting on the tunnel to get finished too, I am using two old boiler water condensation tanks welded together and hopefully an 8 inch piece added to make the length up so I can store my trains inside without having to carry them back and forth from the track to the house. So as you can see, there are a few things holding me up. But that hasn't stopped me from continued work on the train station that I am building from scratch and the passenger car storage barn that is currently under construction also.

That's always the way of it mate, you've got all the gear except for a couple of things and you can't use anything while you're waiting. Life as they say...................

I recently ordered 1 each of the switch receiver and the accessory receiver. Now just have to wait for the wide radius switches to come in or else I'll have to install the 4' radius switches I already have. I hope the new switches don't take too long to come in. I would really like to get this thing up and running again.

Hi,
You would have to install a receiver on each switch motor and programme them to receive different frequencies, or the same frequency if a number of switches need to change at the same time. If memory serves me right there are 10 channels with 10 sub channels giving the ability to control 100 loco's/switches/etc from 1 hand set.

I have that crest walk around unit, but I want to know how to install my switches so that I can trip them from the remote. Any one with information would really be appreciated. I am using USA switches and USA track.

The receiver is cre55471 (10 amp), the transmitter is cre55473, the remote accessory receiver is cre55474, and the switch accessory unit is cre55475.
