Did anyone else see the Large Scale Train on Extreme Makeover tonight (8:00 EST)? It was in the Nursery. Checked the site and they say it was an LGB. Checked LGB and they say it will be on Monday March 7 (8:00PM EST) "Extreme Makeover How They Do That". Can't you imagine!! A Large Scale Train in every Home and Children's Room in America!! [:)] Thanks ABC and Extreme Makeover

Wish I had, last night I thought of watching but the wife changed stations while I was up and then I got busy with something else.
What did it show? an overhead system? how big? I'll try to check out tonight.
Have fun with your trains

Show was about a couple with sextuplets. Train was in the room built for the 6 kids. Overhead. Big room. FA/B with caboose.
Few hundred donated from LGB. Good for them. Just a few seconds of trains. But better than nothing.
I think a lot of LS'ers were hoping for more, and were dissapointed. I've been getting a kick out of watching the reactions on the various message boards. Everytying from anything is good, to outright flames. I just hope people will remember what's important to that family.

Is there anyone interested in Grand Scale trains on Trains.com? I have a rideable 3" scale steam outline and cars that I run in the yard (I don't have a garden, per se). Hopefully spring will break soon again, here in the midwest.

Quacken,
I designed one in 2 inch scale (1/6) but never got to build it. I'm here 'cause I scaled back to 1/29[:-^]
I visited Mom this weekend and saw the show with the 1 + 6 kids, but I don't remember a train. The circus room was quite a hit. Perhaps this was a different set of sextuplits?
Since my TV only gets one channel, and that's PBS, I don't see much, but then, I don't spend a lot of time with it[;)]

Torby,
You did have the correct program. I watched the program the first night and thought I had missed the train. I again watched the program the second night and again all I saw of the train was a micro~second of tape with the train in the background. It is too bad that the host couldn't have mentioned the train and maybe something regarding the hobby.
Happy Railroading,
Ron
