WGH Train Show Long Beach

Yes, this show was pretty good. I went to the GTS i think it was called, on the Queen Mary earlier this year and it was NOT nearly as nice as this. The Long Beach showroom was packed with layouts in all scales, nice detailed ones and some toy like ones. There were some G scale vendors, like Bridgemasters and some good G scale deals to be had, but I had no money that day!!!

I look forward to the Queen Mary G Scale show ("Big trains only) in June, as I hear LGB will be there this time!!

No pics. Wish i had taken the camera. The GScale stuff was just amazing. If it wasn't so far, I'd go again tomorrow close to closing and see what deals I could pick up.

Cool show.

Spent several hours there. Not as big as I figure with respect to manufacturer representation. A couple of trade show style booths, but for the most part the vendor area was just that.

The layout area was huge. One G Scale layout covered most of 60 X 120 area. No idea how many feet.

4 NScale NTrak clubs pooled thier efforts. 109 N Trak modules. Over 450 lf of main line.

Even had a live band. They weren't bad.

I was going, but changed our minds with the weather. Last time I went from San Diego to Long Beach in the rain, it was a 5 hour drive, and I saw about 30 accidents. [:(]

I plan on being there Saturday.Depending on weather, I will either be wearing a train T shirt or a Seahawks sweatshirt,and a train baseball cap.I might see you there[:)].

Anyone going. I've seen a few folks on the forums from So Cal. I'm planning on being there on Saturday afternoon - early evening. Poke me and say hi. I typically have a baseball cap and sweatshirt, both with logo for my son's baseball team (Temecula Longhorns). Looks a lot like the Texas Longhorns logos, but has a big T in the middle and it's maroon and grey.

Looks like theres 2 G scale layouts on display.
Here's a bit on the show. (The entire email I got is just to long to post here, unless anyone wants.) Let me know if you'd like me to forward the email I got on what all's on display.

I think it's $9 for adults, free for kids.
