I should have another servo here in the next day or so, then I can replace the Johnson bar with its home brew bracket keeping her in forward/reverse with the servo and a linkage.  While the C&S is an oddball scale wise these days with all newer live steam narrow gauge models coming in 1:20.3.  She matches the LGB Moguls and the tons of C&S rolling stock that LGB produced back then.  Its a shame that Aster never did the C&S 2-8-0 with the twin air tanks on top of the boiler.  It would have made a nice running mate.

Picked up this engine not long ago, runs decent but needed some serious work on the RC set up.  She also likes to stop at dead center and not want to restart unless the valve gear is rocked into reverse partially then shifted back to forward.  Its not blow by that I can hear, so it might be a bit of a timing issue.  Although she does sound very "square" when running.  These have excellent stack talk right from the factory.  No chuff pipe needed.  The exhaust pipe sticks straight up into the smoke box, so its only the acoustics of it that makes it talk(its gas fired).  Even with the spark arrestor flopped over and open, she barks!   Short video from the New Years eve steam up at the leader of our steam groups house, then some pics of the reinforced servo mount I just completed.  It takes some servo force to close the throttle all the way and it was forceing the bracket to the left.  Its not gonna move now!   Enjoy!
