Terrific Nancy! I'll be in touch in the next few days. I'm in St. Louis right now, but will return home Saturday.  Thank you for getting in touch. We are both thinking along the some lines! Measure twice, cut once! :)

Best regards,

Alyson

Thank you so much, Rene!  These are great leads and Nancy has already replied. I really appreciate your suggestions and looked forward to sharing my Garden Railway some day!

Best regards,

Alyson

Hello AlyKat,  I see you're in the process of landscaping your yard. You may want to get a start on your railway so you won't have to undo anything. I can help. gardenlines.net is my business, since 1997, from which you can contact me. Living in Maine now. Let's meet! Nancy

Hello,

The company Applied Imagination (formerly Paul Busse but now run by his daughter) has designed many railways. They are based in Kentucky but will travel anywhere. I also sent a message to our former horticultural editor Nancy Norris. She used to have a business but moved last year, and I'm not sure of her status. She's on the East coast now and I've shared this post with her.

You might want to seek out a club near you. I know of this one: http://cvrr.railfan.net/cvmrr/index.html

Looking for a Garden Railway designer in CT/Northeast area

I love trains and have always been intrigued by Garden Railways. We have some G trains and it has always been on my bucket list. We're in the process of landscaping a new home in Westport, CT and I would love to install a Garden Railway. In order to do so (in my lifetime, haha!) we will need the help of an expert/enthusiast. Is there anyone in the northeast that you can recommend or is there anyone on this forum who would be interested in taking on the project?
