This is Courtney and Andrew Brown aiandor grandchildren and we demand our rights on this forum.
Garden Railways are cool love Courtney.

I like the Mallet because it makes the noises.

Andrew & Courtney, too bad you don't live nearby in Delaware, USA; My grandkids range from 14yrs to 3 yrs and they all play with my trains. I don't even watch the older ones, they just do it! Even have to run a special train consist headed by Thomas when the 3 yr old is here! It's thier right to make pop pop get things running when they're here, forget about cooking dinner, run the trains!

A DECLARATION OF GARDEN RAILROADANCE

When in the Course of Garden Railway events, it becomes necessary for one people to solidify the steel (brass) bands which have connected them with their Trains, and to assume among the powers of the tracks, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Microferroquinology entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the hobby.

We hold these trains to be self-evident, that all boys and girls are created equal, that they are endowed by their Grandparents with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Garden Railways and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, garden railroads are instituted in gardens, deriving their just Powers from the current of the power pack, -- That whenever any Form of parenting becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the Grandfather to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Garden Railway, laying its tracks on such roadbed and organizing its consists in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Merriment and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Garden Railways long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that children are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by demanding the a garden railway of their own. But when a long train of abuses, usurpations and boxcars, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to demand a place at their Grandfather's side, and to provide new guards for their future love of the hobby -- Such has been the patient sufferance of these children; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former status en re the railroad. -- The history of the present Grandfather is a history of repeated great kindness and attention to detail, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute love over these children. To prove this, let facts be submitted to a candid world.

My Grandson (3 years old) went to Melbourne (Victoria) with his parents for a holiday over Christmas and for a treat they all went for a ride on Puffing Billy. (narrow gauge tourist railway)

He was so excited he has not stop talking about it since, but I was more amused at a question he asked his father.

"Dad where's Thomas's face"

Dont you just love kids.

my grandson lives in N.C. I get to see him 2 time a year ,he likes to come hear for the trains ,HE will be 6 this year. Ben[:D]

The best part about having grandkids is that when they misbehave, youv'e spoiled them enough to get them on a sugar high, or if you are tired of them, you get to give them back to the parents!!! Seriously though, it's watching the wonder when they see something new and then the satisfaction when they understand what's going on! Course the hugs and kisses are pretty neat also!

We try so hard to teach our kids and then my parents mess it all up! [;)] Seriously, it is a real pleasure to watch the Grandparents with our kids. Always so proud of them and eager to do whatever with them. [:D] Later eh...Brian.
