Don't know of any either. Most simulation-based games are very graphic intensive, so they cost more money to make (therefore, less likely to be free).

It's not free, but the cheapest one available that I know of is Trainz Railroad Simulator 2004, available from Auran Games of Australia.

Nothing is free if anyone on this forum wants to know how to get money for doing very little please send $20.00 or 8 pounds sterling to me and I will tell you how i did it.

Haven't installed it so I don't know how much functionality it has but Auran (sp?) does offer a free demo version of their outstanding Trainz software. Trainz is video-intensive so requires a contemporary & powerful PC. You can find it on their website.
