Happy new year to all and i would like to hear what we all think is going to happen.

Heres a few for starters

1/ Captain Joe is going to become a father again.

2/ Vic is going to join the Red Cross and move to Switzerland.

3/ Brian is going to get a bigger and better truck.

4/ Kim and Troy are going to get a visit from Ian.

What do others think

It definately has to get better. The 30th I got rear ended in a car accident as I called the police the other driver took off. After telling the police everything that happened I told them they may want to check the emergency room parking lot, they said they would try but he already had 2 more wrecks to go to. After getting my wife to the test she was scheduled for at the hospital I decided I should probably get my back and neck looked at since they where both getting stiffer and sorer by the minute. I get checked in by the receptionist and get told go have a seat there's only a couple people ahead of you. I walked over by the entrance to the ER and stood around since sitting wasn't a position that felt real good and a nurse comes out looking for someone, finally finds them in the bathroom and goes back to wait for them. About 5 minutes later the person still isn't there so the nurse checks again, I look over as the person is walking by and low and behold it's the person that hit me with thier car. So I wlaked outside got the Proper liscense plate number called the police back and let them know where the person was and walked back into the ER and informed the receptionist that the person they just admitted was the person that had hit me and that the police would be there in a bit. All the nurses eventually hear about it and you can tell thier expressions of total shock when they did. The police officer finally shows up asks me to go over to the room the person is and identify the person being the one that hit me. Soon after that I had to go to X-Ray so I wasn't around the ER for awhile. After I got back I was informed that my injuries were thankfully just a cervical strain and a lumbar strain. The Nurse that came in to give me my release instructions informed me that the other person was taken to jail since they tried to leave the ER twice while the police man was there waiting for them to get checked. So after all that I spent most of yesterday in pain and tried to get some rest. 2004 definatley went out with a bang! [B)]

So I wi***he best to all of you in the up coming year.
Take care of yourselves and the ones you care about.

I'll add this to Ian's list:

Ian will write a book about his world travels which will start him on a new career and will bring him international fame. All this is good because I see little hope for him as a soothsayer.

Walt

I forgot about you: you are going to have two more grandchildren during 2005, this will still leave you well behind me with eleven.

Vic; you must be nuts, they pay big money for their people in the Red Cross and they don't pay any tax. My son Leons brother in law Mark, who is an Aussie but he has dual Swiss citizenship made enough in five years to buy a house outright.

Ok Matt I have seen you and you are quite thin so you can't drink too many six packs.

Go Joe, I think I am the top progenator on this forum with three children and eleven grandchildren, so if you need any help just call.

I'm sorry Jack about your accident but rest assured the hospital treated you better than they would over here. They would have ignored you and if you had of died on there premises, they would have made your widow pay to have your body removed.

Ben mate don't forget this is an international forum and I have no idea what you are talking about as does many other non Americans.

Toby not every one had a bad 2004 I had one of the most fullfilling of my 68 years, as well my shares went terrific thats why i'm goingoverseas for 3 months., 2005 may well be good for you and not so good for me.

Troy I know what to expect and believe it or not sunshine just aboutt every day and 20 to 30 degrees year round is very nice but a little change wouldn'r hurt. In any case I will be coming from north west Germany and Tokyo so I think your weather might be a bit better than there.

Regards ian

Last night I took Carpenter Dr. Matt's advice and went to the store and got a 6 pack of beer and went home to enjoy it somewhere around the 5th or 6th bottle I seem to remember seeing a sign "Welcome to Borracho Springs". [:)] I sat back and relaxed watching the scenery go by having the feeling that my mode of transportation was going in a circle. [:p] After a bit of this my eye lids started to droop and I drifted off to sleep.[|)] Upon awaking this morning I found myself square, smack in the middle of Crudo Bend [xx(] unable to focus and sure that someone had switched my head for one that was 3 sizes to small I made my way to the coffee pot to get myself motivated for the day.[%-)]

I think that Carpenter Dr. Carpenter Matt will have his doctoring papers revoked and be sent back to a life of being a Carpenter with a smile on his face. [(-D]

Like I said before I wish you all the best in the coming year [:D]

I hope you all got a little laugh out of the preceding story [swg]

Jack,

Take care of yourself! I'm glad you found the guy that hit you. It's not right when someone hits you and takes off like that.

Troy and Kim.

Did you know that i don't even own a raincoat nor an umbrella, Doreen only owns avery small and old umbrella. All I have is the Foul weather gear left over from my yachting days.

So I had better get rain type stuff.

Troy I have found out where Tenterden is, it's in Kent; very close (by Aussiie standards) to where i will be living Chelmsford Essex. I undersatnd that the weather in Germany will be worse than in Essex.

Ian.

2005???? Hmmmmmmmm. Brian will most likely continue to re-write many popular songs while chasing white lines across the Canadian Prairies. This past trip saw Highway #1 closed when I was halfway home. I sat with two of our other drivers waiting to get moving while nearly two miles of trucks lined up behind us. Four wheelers were trying to get to the front of the lineup for when the RCMP let us roll. A quick conversation on the CB and I had everyone convinced we should stagger our trucks across both Eastbound lanes to keep the four wheelers at bay. Worked like a charm until we all got moving. The snow we kicked up made it impossible to see and the people in the four wheelers were scared senseless. No one got wiped out but CW McCall would have been proud....we had ourselves a Convoy. One by one we settled back into the right lane and let the cars go past. The Tim Hortons an hour up the road was jammed up with white knucked drivers checking their shorts for stains. What a ride! I arrived home to find my RR under 15 inches of new snow and a huge fort Naomi and the kids built in the backyard. Ian....a bigger truck you say??? Sure...I think this time we could use a set of Super B trailers and build bridges to connect the line across them. Until then this here's "The 18 Wheeler Preacher" sayin' keep the sticky side down and the shiny side up. We gone bye bye. Later eh...Brian.
