Thanks Bill, actully for my railway its a Hobbit house.  The new line to be built cuts off right infront of that house and once built, the line will go thru The Shire on that side of the railway so I can endulge my middle earth desires there.   The Becks Brewery complex and steaming bay will be on the left side of the picture under that tree so as to take advantage of the all day shade it gives.  Still waiting on my Regner Konrad to show up, normal mail guy didnt have it, but the site still shows delivery by 8pm today.  I know they run a second package delivery truck as i see it on both Saturday and Sundays this time of year in our neighborhood.   Not holding my breath that shows up this weekend, more like Monday, which means Tuesday when I go sign for it at the post office after work.   Cheers    Mike

Some late fall railway rework and a new live steamer

Last Sunday's weather was nice enough to make some desired changes to the buildings on my little railway to more suit the Austrian theme.  The old depot was a faded Aristocraft USA style one, so it got replaced with an Pola one that looks much more Austrian(still need to make the name sign board).  I picked up a hand full of LGB figures to glue to the platform once drier and warmer weather arrives next spring.   I also added in the Pola Bier Garten resturant that I had in the attic, complete with a "lady of the night" on the second floor balcony.   When the extension loop that will go around the tree and ham radio tower gets installed, a steam up bay and place for my Pola Becks Brewery complex will come to pass.   Last evening, the big brown truck delievered one of two new live steamers, replacing 2 that I sold/traded that didnt fit the theme.  Last nights arrival is a Regner SKGLB #1, sister engine to the famious Stainz #2 that LGB made famous, purchsed from the former editor of Garden Railways and built by him from a kit.  Still very stiff and needing plenty of run time on the rolling road and RC control before railway time will be permitted.   I am expecting my 2nd engine today, a Regner Konrad geared model from thier Easy Line.  Its ready to go and will see some track time when the weather permits.  I traded my RH Bertie for him as Bertie really jacked up my anxiety when I tried to run on my raised railway with its R1 curves and 4' drop to rocks below should a derailment happen.  I once had a Regner Willi, but those are very hard to come by second hand.  But a Konrad that hadnt been modified was offered up and I traded with the owner.     Mike the Aspie
