Sunday morning essence of garden railroading
Posted by emdmike on Sunday, June 24, 2018 8:22 AM

Here is a nice inspirational picture that captures the essence of garden railroading.  Its hard to tell this is raised railway, set at the same height as my deck railing.  This morning, Frank S has been eased out of the engine house and is raising steam and will soon be ready to go to work.  Engine house is by Pola, Frank is from Aster/LGB.  Frank S is a live steam locomotive, burning Butane gas to heat the boiler and create steam.  For me, live steam operation is the primary draw to having a garden railway.     Mike the Aspie
