I think if you read between the lines (thieves steal a nice UMARKED trailer from the club, then steal another trailer "U Haul", and dump the stuff from the nice trailer to the U Haul... probably the thieves just wanted the trailer.
It was a nice looking trailer, and very little difficulty to grind off any serial number, if any, and re-register for their off road stuff or whatever.
I think you will find that whatever was not recovered (which has not been made public I guess) is gone forever, i.e. the thieves did not want the trains.

I would imagine some of the club members would be.
Is there a group watching ebay or other auction sites?
A pessimist sees a dark tunnel
An optimist sees the light at the end of the tunnel
A realist sees a frieght train
An engineer sees three idiots standing on the tracks stairing blankly in space
That stinks.
Going off the video they went straight for that trailer.
Hope they get caught
We've learned that the Tulsa Garden Railroad Club had a trailer full of their equipment stolen, just a couple of weeks before they host the national convention.
Sharing in case someone can help them recover the items.
