Is the Sammie by Roundhouse Engineering. I got mine second hand, but even new they are just a tad over $700 plus shipping. There are several optional up grades you can add to the engine as budget allows. Mine has all of them. Inside the cab we have a water sight glass and water topping up valve which allows refilling the boiler while steamed up. The water sight glass keeps you from overfilling the boiler. As the model comes, there is no sight glass, its designed to run out of gas long before the water runs low. Outside of the cab, my Sammie has the painted clip on cylinder covers and the crosshead with combination lever set. I then added some hand rails on the sides of the smoke box and a headlight and bell, both from Accucraft's online parts store. Another light will go up on the roof of the cab for reverse operation as a logging engine. Sammie is part of Roundhouse's Basic line, the other two engines are of a British outline. Roundhouse has been building G scale live steamers since the early 1980's in small batches. Reliablity and quality control is second to none and has never waivered one iota. They are designed with new commer in mind. Unlike Accucraft, which are mostly a fine product but with quality control all over the place and made in the PRC. Roundhouse run perfect right out of the box and only get better with use. They are made in the UK, by hand in short batches, so a short or long wait may happen till the next batch is made.
