A new wood hopper
Posted by TheJoat on Sunday, December 12, 2004 1:37 PM
I finally completed my wooden hopper inspired by ET&WNC hoppers. Scratchbuilt with Kappler lumber, Hartford trucks, and parts by Hartford and Ozark.

I may have to build some more of these - it's hard to just have one!

Is it REAL? or Just 1:29 scale?

Long live Outdoor Model Railroading.

Thanks guys. That was a fun project. I'll have to do a few more.

John, if you've never built from scratch before, I'd recommend following along with one of Phil Creer's tutorials. Right now he's doing a small reefer. It's really nice to have someone show you the way. I wish I had for this - lots of miscues in this one, but it turned out nice.
