Aria,
Thank you for your response, i will look into that brand as well. Wolfcraft makes a fairly nice line of tools. I have several of their had tools.

Well folks, a bit of digging and here are two options that appear to meet the configuration of the photograph.
One is available at Norther Tool here http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200422331_200422331
The other is available at Walmart here http://www.walmart.com/ip/4-5-Angle-Grinder-Stand-Grinding-Wheel-Chop-Saw-Bench/146104963?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=1163&adid=22222222227042193126&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=106293836477&wl4=pla-293261406077&wl5=9011641&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=112354438&wl11=online&wl12=146104963&wl13=&veh=sem
Both seem to have good reviews. I will be ordering the Klutch one as I like the appearance a bit better.
JH - Thanks for that link. I will need to see if my local store has one. It looks to be smaller, but that may have some advantages as well.
Rene - Thank you for going that little extra for a GR reader. :)
Thank you for your question.
This "chop saw" is made from an assembly of one Wolfcraft stand and
a right angle grinder.
Exact designation for the Wolfcraft unit is :Wolfcraft 5019000 cutting Support For angle grinder with one hand
115/125 mmhttp://www.wolfcraft.com/en/products/p/cutting_stands/s/c/index.html
I am not so proud of this tool but this was what I can get from what I have
already (the grinder) and the Wolfcraft stand which is quite cheap
(20.-USD).
An improvement would be to use a different cutting blade.
At last this complete unit should be used with care for your own safety.
FYI, I emailed this thread to the author, Jean Mazzoleni, in case he can offer any help.

I found one very simular from Harbor Freight Tool Company. Its called:
dril master 2" bench top cut-off saw. Their item #62136. www.harborfreight.com
In the August issue of GR mag, "Build an Inexpensive Howe Truss Bridge for your indoor Railroad" has a really cool tool shown on the top left corner of page 24. In Figure 1, there is what appears to be a chop saw made from an angle grinder.
Can anyone shed some light on who makes one and where to get it? That would be the perfect tool for the garden railroad builder, both for structures and rolling stock.
