LED ditch/headlights

Has anyone written any articles about replacing factory lights with LED's? I've looked, but didn't see any.

Thanks.

There was one In Model Railroader December 2004. Super bright white LED's.. The article uses 3mm (T1) for HO, There are also 5mm (T13/4) which would be more appropriate for large scale. Also you can group LEDs with that method.

I had the 2 headlites in my USA F-3 A-B-A set replaced with the "super brite" white led's by St. Aubins Junction in Woodstock Illinois . They work in conjunction with the Sierra sound system they also installed for me . Real cool with the lower lite looking as if it is rotating . Can't say for sure , but I think they are from Ram products. Give them a call .

No but I have had the opposite problem and have put it aside for the time being. That wasI I wanted to illuminate the inside of an oriental temple and I inadvertantly got some LED's that threw a beam and that wasn't what i wanted. The local Electronic *** did not seem to understand that i did not want a clear white light nor did I want a a beam more a diffused lkight. So i am still working on it but not too hard; I have too many other things to worry about.
