First of all, wanted to thank those who replied re: my question on hook up for Piko Reversing unit. I've ordered one and am looking forward to putting it in. One other question: when I install insulated rail joiners, I'm assuming I have to remove existing regular joiner on my LGB track and replace with the insulated one. Also assume the insulated joiner doesn't fit over brass joiner. Also, will I only need one insulated joiner per section or both rails insulated on the same end of the track? Finally, I've test my LGB trolley and it doesn't need much stopping room at the speed I'll be runnng it--so I'll insulate one section and then have an uninsulated section with a bumper. Sound logical? Thanks for any replies--this form has been a great help!
The instructions that will come with the unit are simple enough to follow. Do no deviate. From looking at the on-line diagrams you may not have to remove any joiners to make way for the reversing unit.
