In memoriam: Dean Bennett
Posted by Rene Schweitzer on Friday, January 15, 2016 1:22 PM

I'm saddened to announce the death of Dean Bennett. Dean was both Garden Railways and Classic Toy Trains' ad sales manager for many years.

Dean was the perfect ad sales person--he had a big personality and enjoyed socializing with people. I attended a number of shows with him, including the only time I attended the Big Train Show when it was still on the Queen Mary

I admit that, at times, I would become frustrated with his advertising placement requests, but understood that he was trying to prioritize ALL of his advertisers. All advertisements were important to him, from the largest to the smallest. And for that, I admired him.

Dean is survived by his wife and son. I offer my condolences to them and the rest of his famly.

Dean was my advertising rep at Kalmbach all the years I was in business. RIP, Dean.
