I've been trying to remove the stock cab from a Bachmann 1:20 Forney so I can put r/c gear in as well as install a Banta wood replacement cab. Email to Bachmann was useless, Banta was more helpful but... front of cab still hangs up though is loose. I am reluctant to use brute force since I'd like to recycle the stock cab for another project.
Any suggestions - or do I just get a bigger hammer? Have removed all screws from bottom and snipped pipes/lines/thread going into stock cab.

No experience with a Forney. On other Bachmann's I have encountered alignment tabs with a small protrusion preventing the tab from passing through the slot. If you have a tab, look at it very close.

I have not had one apart. Howevere, talking to a good friend who has....he seems to recall you have to remove the boiler completely to get the cab off. The long pivot bolt from under the back has to come out.
