Here's another good currency site: http://www.xe.com/

They have the daily exchange rates posted, and a currency converter at the bottom of the page.

Go to x-rates.com. Works out to 1.86 U.S.D. to 1 pd British..... This changes over time, has held approx this rate for the entire summer...... Purchase your British goods here in the States, the price may be high but the quality is good, the overseas shipping will kill you!

Go to www.cnn.com . On their website they have a currency converter. I think it may be located on the "Travel" sectin of the website, but I'm not sure. That should answer your questions regarding hw much something would cost in USD. 1200 - 1900 pounds Stirling is going to be a lot of USD (between US$ 2000 - 3000).

Yes well as an Aussie i can give you a rogh idea of the conversion but with the Auussie dollar in the middle, I have had a lot to do with using currency on and internnational level whilst i was in the workforce,

So at the moment A$1= US$0.78 and A$1.00 = 0.42 p sterling so roughly 0.42 pound = US$0.78 =0.54 approx.

So if you divide 1200 pounds / 0.54 = US$ 2,222.00 and 1900 pounds sterling / 0.54 = US$3,518.00.

Regards downunder monetary service.
