Subway cars

Is anyone out there interested in subway cars in "G"?
And before the jokes start flying they DO run above ground in some places (like the "EL" in Philly.

Hi Bucksco
I thought about doing tube stock but the thought of adding the extra two rails
and insulators to the track and dificulty due to location of getting drawings
made me decide to forget it.
I only see it now as a shutle circuit thing now moving back and forth between two tunels. and it wont get built as I now dont see it as being worth it
regards John

Hello Bucksco,
I can see the funny side of this but when I was modelling in HO I found some people doing fantastic models of the London Underground. The London subway system also has many overground sections, and I was very tempted. With an indoor layout sections could be built to lift out for the tunnel sections for maintenance, ect. With an outdoor system there could be shovels involved[:D]

What about my German Ice Train, it is a subway train and it is modelled on the fastest train running regulalry in the world. There is another faster but its only got a few instalations, one is a test track and the other is between Shanghai and its airport.

Yes Virginia there is subway trains out there running all the time in garden railway land, I have one.

Regards

Ian
